A meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda
On 21 June, Ambassador of Armenia in Lithuania Armen Martirosyan and Honorary Consul of Armenia in Lithuania Karapet Babajan met with President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda.
During the meeting, President Nausėda accepted Ambassador Martirosyan’s credentials; he and the guests also discussed bilateral relations between Lithuania and Armenia and the prospects for their development, as well as the recent parliamentary elections.
President Nausėda expressed hope that the elections would help to resolve the domestic crisis and continue implementation of the democratic reform agenda. He also confirmed that Lithuania would like to further deepen bilateral relations with Armenia and is ready to share its experience in the areas of the primacy of law, democratic reforms and the economy as Armenia seeks rapprochement with the European Union.
